Hemp oil with a thousand virtues

THE hemp oil is composed of many antioxidants with beneficial effects. It contains vitamins A, B1, B3, B4, B6 and E, proteins, carotene, minerals, omega-3 and 6, essential fatty acids. We stop there for the jargon. Applied directly to the skin or used in creams and soaps, the hemp oil is full of a strong hydrating, anti-inflammatory and toning potential.

It is therefore suitable for skin care dry, mature, irritated, dehydrated, tired. This also applies to weak and brittle hair. Its use is recommended for all skin types. It is even recognized for its effectiveness against acne. The expression “hemp oil acne” (Editor's note: “ hemp oil acne ”in French) has hundreds of thousands of searches on Google and YouTube.

Jenn Rogers, beauty influencer, testifies in one of her videos : “Since I started removing makeup in the evening with hemp oil, the quality of my skin has drastically improved in terms of acne breakouts and overall smoothness. I am so happy that I am no longer using benzoyl peroxide, alpha hydroxy acid, salicylic acid, or any other acne treatment. ”

The virtues of hemp oil therefore no longer need to be proven. Other professionals such as barbers or cosmetologists have been using its moisturizing and softening properties for several decades now.

How do you get this hemp oil?

All parts of hemp can be used, depending on the industry. In the skincare, it is more particularly the seeds that interest us, also called hempseed. They are harvested once the plant reaches maturity. Full growth takes an average of XNUMX days, depending on climatic conditions. Then, the hemp seeds are cold pressed, so as not to degrade the essential fatty acids they contain. This makes it possible to obtain an oil which will be left to settle in order to retain only the much desired liquid.

Hemp is a so-called ecological plant because it requires very few inputs (H2O, pesticides, etc.) and consumes less water than many other crops. It is a plant that encourages responsible consumption, and cosmetics need it.
