Where does the Bol d'air Jacquier come from?

René Jacquier, a chemical engineer specializing in organic chemistry was particularly interested in hormones, enzymes, vitamins and all sorts of biological phenomena improving the general state of health. In 1946, he invented his own biocatalytic oxygenation system. The goal ? Stimulate the process of regulation and self-healing through cellular oxygenation. This famous engineer will work until the end of his life in 2010 on perfecting his device and making it accessible to as many people as possible with one objective: to breathe better.

All under-oxygenated?

If the Bol d'air is recognized for preserving a good general state of health, it is because it increases and maintains our ability to assimilate the oxygen normally breathed.

More why do we all need it?

Back to basics: we need oxygen to live, its role is to allow the cells of the body to carry out their activity - so far no surprise. Once breathed in, oxygen enters the alveoli of the lungs. If it then reaches our organs, it is thanks to hemoglobin (contained in red blood cells), in short, the “carrier” of oxygen in the cells through the bloodstream. Once in the organism, oxygen transforms the nutrients resulting from digestion into energy that can be used directly by the cell, but it is also involved in the fight against pathogenic agents and in the control of free radicals.

The impact of hypoxia

The air we breathe in is mainly composed of nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%). Even in the event of pollution, the concentration of oxygen will not drop, on the other hand if the organization finds itself nowadays very frequently in under-oxygenation (or, hypoxia) it is because of a oxygen uptake problem.

The causes ? According to Holiste (the company that produces the Bol d'air Jacquier), there is pollution and of course smoking (pollutants line the airways and slow down gas exchange), respiratory diseases, altitude but also age. , intense physical exercise and stress. Added to this, oxygen is delivered to the cells according to a few conditions: temperature, acidity and level of carbon dioxide in the air (more than 0,06% and it is hypoxia. Namely: in town, this rate is between 0,09% and 0,14%). We breathe yes, but badly.

Eventually, hypoxia (so the fact of not assimilating oxygen correctly even if you have the impression of breathing normally) can cause several side effects (according to Holiste).
- An alteration of the metabolism: in oxygen deficit, the cell benefits from less energy. The assimilation of nutrients is incomplete, waste accumulates hence the proliferation of toxins.
- Excess free radicals: which leads to a process of oxidative stress, or the first cause of premature aging. The cells that produce collagen in particular (at the origin of the firmness of the skin) are damaged, resulting in dull and tired skin, fine lines. And while this is completely normal with age (or overexposure to the sun), under-oxygenation is one of the main contributing factors.
- An impact on the nervous system: the brain and the central nervous system being the biggest consumers of oxygen, they are the first to be affected by hypoxia. And sometimes alert via signs of chronic fatigue, nervousness, memory failures...

The benefits of Bol d'air Jacquier

The power of essential oils (pine and hemp)

The Bol d'air Jacquier helps to fight against under-oxygenation and all its inconveniences. For millennia, places of health (one thinks for example of thermal cures) have been located around forests. A walk in nature (for at least 20 minutes a day according to a study by the University of Michigan) for example effectively reduces the level of cortisol, the stress hormone. According to our own study on French stress (carried out in 2022 on more than 1200 people), more than half of you cite nature as your favorite stress remedy!

If the Bol d'air Jacquier works with pinenes of the essential oil Orésine® it is because René Jacquier, over the course of his experiments, has also found in pine essences recognizable benefits on the body, in addition to the calming effect. The molecules that make it up are highly charged with oxygen and facilitate cellular oxygenation (hence the name biocatalyst). Renowned for its virtues for the respiratory tract, pine essential oil facilitates the distribution of oxygen in cells, because hemoglobin (the carrier) detects oxygenated pinewoods more easily than oxygen alone. Oxygen is more easily released into the tissues, and delivered in a highly assimilable form!
