How is the hemp infusion obtained?
The hemp infusion is made from Breton hemp grown by Pierre Yves Normand, who cultivates a variety containing 6% CBD.
Consuming hemp in the form of an infusion offers numerous benefits and is a pleasant way to enjoy the plant's properties and the CBD it contains. Furthermore, hemp requires no pesticides or chemicals to grow optimally, guaranteeing high purity in the final product, especially if the hemp is cultivated according to organic farming principles.
CBD infusion can be enjoyed on its own, or in combination with plant-based milks such as oat or almond milk for an even more indulgent and comforting drink, perfect for this autumn season!
Like all infusions, hemp tea can be drunk without moderation throughout the day.
Tip: to promote the absorption of CBD during a hemp infusion, it is important to add a touch of lipids, CBD being fat soluble. This can be, for example, vegetable milk, a knob of butter or coconut oil.

Legal point (January 2022): Can we continue to sell our OKLM infusion?
While the sale and consumption of CBD is permitted and legal in France (as long as the THC level does not exceed 0,3%), a government decree dated December 31, 2021, prohibited the sale of hemp flowers. The reason given by Mildeca (Interministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviors) was that "the prohibition of raw cannabis flowers and leaves preserves the operational capacity of law enforcement to identify products subject to narcotics legislation." This decree is therefore not based on health concerns but on a policy of repression. The decree stipulates the prohibition of " the sale to consumers of raw flowers or leaves in all their forms , alone or mixed with other ingredients ." This has no impact on our CBD and hemp products, since the hemp flower (which contains the cannabidiol (CBD) molecule) is presented in a processed, not raw, form. Only one HO KARAN product is affected: our OKLM infusion, which includes naturally CBD-rich, unprocessed hemp flowers in its recipe. Some retailers of smokable flowers call their products “herbal tea” or “infusion” to circumvent the regulations, which is why the decree preemptively includes herbal teas and potpourri in the ban. However, it is technically impossible and pointless to simply extract the flowers for smoking when you purchase HO KARAN's OKLM infusion. We therefore consider our product to be unaffected by this decree. Currently, we have not seen any concrete application of this decree, especially since an emergency injunction and a motion for suspension are pending. As of today, we are continuing to sell our infusions while awaiting a final ruling.
